Akshaya graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park, in 2020 with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering. Since graduating, Akshaya has worked at the Department of Energy’s Loan Program Office. She is pursuing her M.S. in Mechanical Engineering at the NEIT Lab.  She is working on developing encapsulated PCM slurry-based microchannels and also supporting near-junction thermal management efforts for the DARPA threads project.
